I can't believe it's been 3 years since I last posted here...
Wow, time really does fly!!
Not too much has happened that's exciting enough to post so I'll have to rely on some photos we've taken in that time period....I hope you enjoy them.

Spring is with us once again.

Bunjil at Box Hill Hospital

In Australian Aboriginal mythologyBunjil is a creator deityculture hero and ancestral being, often depicted as a wedge-tailed eagle (or eaglehawk). In the Kulin nation in central Victoria he was regarded as one of two moiety ancestors, the other being  Waa the crow. Bunjil has two wives and a son, Binbeal the rainbow. His brother is Balayang the bat. He is assisted by six wirmums or shamans who represent the clans of the Eaglehawk moiety: Djurt-djurt the nankeen kestrel, Thara the quail hawk, Yukope the parakeet, Dantum the parrot, Tadjeri the brushtail possum and Turnong the gliding possum

100 Year ANZAC Anniversary 25 April 2015

LEST WE FORGET

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

THANK YOU

Mark's Tatts

I just wanted to show you some of my son, Mark de Mortimore (Oliver)'s tattoos.
They make him look big and bad but he's really just a teddy-bear!  "With the teeth and claws to back it up when necessary", he says.
I don't know how he stands the pain, but with a lot of the tatts, especially the ones on his head, he went to sleep whilst being tattooed.
One down note was that the tattoo on his left hand almost cost him his hand - the tattooist changed his ink, and didn't tell him.  Mark had a severe allergic reaction to the new ink and his hand swelled up like a balloon - the doctors at the Emergency Dept were very concerned about it and did lots of tests, but luckily after a few days the swelling started to go down - it has, though, left the back of that hand with little flesh under the skin.
I'm not mad about the tattoos, but Mark's an adult so the choice is totally his and lately I've been finding tatts that he might like, how weird is that?
